Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta makes same mistake as Sadio Mane by charging down the wing as other players take a knee

You can forgive Sadio Mane for charging down the wing as other players took a knee, seeing as he did it during Liverpool's first match since the restart.

But Cesar Azpilicueta should surely be used to the process by now!

In solidarity with global protests against racism, all Premier League footballers and officials have been taking a knee before kick-off in every top-flight match since football resumed.

But just like Liverpool's Mane, that briefly slipped Azpilicueta's mind ahead of the Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening.

Eager as ever, the Chelsea captain was spotted charging down the left side of the pitch when the referee blew his whistle, before quickly realising his mistake.

Palace winger Andros Townsend recently joined talkSPORT to discuss the process of taking a knee.

"The start is people taking a knee on the pitch and supporting Black Lives Matter on our shirts, but that's only the start," Townsend said on Wednesday's talkSPORT Breakfast.

"It's all about what happens next. Do you take the knee, post it on Twitter or Instagram, get 1000 likes, and that's it?

"Or do you want real change? Are you going to continue and do what Raheem Sterling is doing, where he's actually trying to force change instead of just going along with what everyone else is doing?

"That's the main thing now, that we do actually push, in the way Marcus Rashford has done in another area, we push and take it right to the top and right to the very end.

"The next step is things like what Raheem Sterling posted today, and hopefully there are more and more of those initiatives coming out until we do get change."
