'I'd rather put Come Dine With Me on!' - Tottenham are 'boring' under Jose Mourinho, says unhappy ex-Spurs star Jamie O'Hara

Jamie O'Hara believes Tottenham Hotspur are 'boring' to watch under Jose Mourinho and openly admitted he misses the Mauricio Pochettino era.

In fact, the former Spurs midfielder has says he would rather watch Come Dine With Me instead of his former side.

Daniel Levy wielded the axe back in November on Pochettino's reign and hired former Chelsea and Manchester United manager Mourinho in a stunning turn of events.

A serial winner in his prime during his first spell at Stamford Bridge, the Portuguese left United in December 2018 under acrimonious circumstances and with the fans no longer on his side.

The failure to land a world-class centre-back and improve the defence was exacerbated by a lack of goals at the other end of the pitch, particularly at Old Trafford.

Now in north London it seems as though history is repeating itself for the 'Special One', with their otherwise dull 1-0 victory over Everton on Monday night illuminated by a moment of controversy between Heung-min Son and Hugo Lloris.

Without the confrontation between the two stars, O'Hara admits he was tempted to change the channel for some reality TV instead.

"There is no excitement in the games no more," O'Hara said on talkSPORT Breakfast. "And Spurs are so boring to watch!

"I was a big fan of when Mourinho came in and it was like 'right, we are going to win a trophy'. It didn't matter how we do it, let's just win a trophy.

"But, actually, I am now sitting there thinking: 'I have absolutely lost all excitement of watching Spurs.'

"I loved it with Poch and even though we had a bit of poor start to the season and there was a bit of unrest in the dressing room, I still loved watching them and I loved seeing how they played.

"Now, I am watching them and just thinking I would rather put Come Dine With Me on!"
