Leicester vs Crystal Palace Match Preview

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace Prediction, Tips and Match Preview of the English Premier League match on Saturday, 4 July 2020. Kick-off 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes got incredibly lucky last game week. They had lost against the Toffees, and were in serious danger of being replaced from the third spot by Chelsea. All the Blues had to do was win against the relegation-threatened West Ham.

However, Frank Lampard's men lost, and the 2015-16 champions remained in the podium spot.

Be that as it may, Brendan Rodgers's men cannot count on luck anymore, and if they are serious about taking part in the Champions League, they will have to start showing their earlier form.

The reason being - four top-tier teams are gunning for the three CL tickets (and that's with Manchester City not reversing their ban).

As such, expect a fierce and determined game from Leicester this Saturday. Considering the level at which they have performed over the past few years, as well as the current struggles the Eagles are going through - the former are expected to emerge victorious.

Leicester vs Crystal Palace: Head-to-head (h2h)

The reverse fixture had ended in a 0-2 win for the Foxes on the road.

But, their counterparts had won the previous four games on the trot.

Five of the preceding seven encounters had three or more goals.

The guests had scored a total of seven goals at this venue from the past two meetings.

It's been four years since the home team have won at this ground.

Leicester vs Crystal Palace: Prediction

Rodgers's men lost 2-1 on the road the last match-day, against Everton. The hosts were in such a hurry for the three points, that they were leading 2-0 by the clock showed 15 minutes. Later, though the visitors did return one goal, it was not enough.

In the meantime, the Eagles lost 0-1 at home against Burnley. After a hard-fought fixture, the guests slotted in the winner in the 62 nd minute.

Coming to the result of the upcoming encounter - the Foxes have been one of the best teams in the competition these past few seasons, and this time around they are determined to qualify for the CL. However, they have dropped some important points lately, and are facing stiff competition.

In that regards, this is a must-win game. They do have the confidence of playing at home - where they have lost just against Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Southampton in the past 14 months. Keep note that three of these were recent champions of the PL.

On top of that, Roy Hodgson's men are on a two-game losing run (in which they conceded five goals), and they won a total of thrice in their last twelve road trips. Taking into account these observations, expect Leicester to post the three points this weekend.

However, understand that the Eagles are desperate for a European spot, and they are just lagging by four points below the cut-off. Moreover, they have a terrific h2h record against this rival, and to pile on, their counterparts are defensively struggling at the moment.

Likely, expect goals from both teams this Saturday.
