Napoli vs Juventus: Head-to-head (h2h)

Overall Stats (47 games): Napoli 12 Wins, Juventus 25 Wins, 10 Draws.

On average 2.81 goals have been scored per game in their meetings at San Paolo over the course of history.

The Bianconeri have beaten Napoli in four of the last five head-to-head games.

Four of their last seven encounters had over 2.5 goals.

The reverse fixture between these two sides in August finished 4-3 to Juve.

Napoli vs Juventus: Match Preview

Napoli’s disappointing campaign continued as they slumped to their third consecutive Serie A defeat, fifth in the last seven league matches.

This time around, an under perfroming Azzurri fell to a 0-2 home defeat to revived Fiorentina, but they did manage to bounce back with a 1-0 victory over Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals.

Napoli slipped to 11th position in the Serie A standings, tied on points with 14th-placed Udinese.

The Partonepeans have recorded three wins, two draw and five losses at Stadio San Paolo, averaging 1.10 goals per game and shipping 1.30 in return. They have lost four home games in a row and earned just two points from last six home fixtures.

The Bianconeri, on the other hand, are on a great run of form having won their last five matches across competitions, including a 3-1 victory over Roma in the midweek Coppa clash.

The Turin giants fully capitalized on Inter’s mistakes against Atalanta and Lecce and moved four points clear at the top of the Serie A. Maurizio Sarri will be aiming to take down his former side and extend the club’s winning streak this weekend.

Juventus have logged seven wins, two draws and one loss on their travels this season, netting 1.50 goals per match, whilst conceding 0.90 per bout. They have won four of their last five away fixtures.

Napoli vs Juventus: Team News & Predicted Starting Lineups

The hosts will be without Koulibaly (14 games, goals), Maksimovic (8/1), Malcuit (3/0) and Mertens (16/4), while Allan (14/1), Ghoulam (5/0) and Younes (6/0) are all questionable.

Napoli (4-3-3): Ospina – Rui, Hysaj, D.Lorenzo, Manolas – Zielinski, Demme, Ruiz – Insigne, Callejon, Milik.

Maurizio Sarri won’t be able to count on Chiellini (1/1), Danilo (10/1), Demiral (5/1), De Sciglio (6/0) and Khedira (12/0).

Juventus (4-3-1-2): Szczesny – Alex Sandro, Cuadrado, De Ligt, Bonucci – Bentancur, Matuidi, Pjanic – Ramsey – Dybala, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Napoli vs Juventus: Prediction

Despite their Coppa win, I don’t trust Napoli to produce an upset here, not after their sluggish performance against Fiorentina. They will be shorthanded in defence once again and I’m positive visiting team will bag at least two goals on Sunday. Juventus have scored two or more in eight of the last nine games in all competitions.

Lastly, I will hit the goalscorer market and pick red-hot Cristiano Ronaldo to net anytime. The legendary striker has scored thirteen goals in last ten games for the club.

Napoli vs Juventus: Betting Tips

Juventus To Score Over 1.5 Goals @ 1.82

Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) To Score Anytime @ 2.07.
