FC Astana have been the whipping boys in Group L. With Partizan Belgrade picking up the win in their reverse fixture as well, the hosts should be able to end their Europa campaign on a positive note this week.

Their only prior encounter was the reverse fixture of this matchup which Partizan Belgrade won 2-1.

Partizan Belgrade vs Astana Prediction

Partizan Belgrade picked up their first point in three games after they managed to hold AZ Alkmaar to a 2-2 draw on the road in their last Europa league clash. The hosts, however, looked certain to pick up all three points after they slotted two goals past their counterparts in the first half.

Nevertheless, a quick brace from Ferdy Druijf in the final five minutes meant that the home side would have to settle for no more than a share of the spoils.

With just five points to their name, Partizan Belgrade are sitting third on the ladder, four points adrift of second-placed AZ Alkmaar.

Just like the hosts, FC Astana are also well out of contention to the next round. The visitors have hit rock bottom in the cluster with three measly points in the bag and will be making the trip to Stadion Partizana on the back of a stunning 2-1 win over the Red Devils, albeit at home.

On the road, the guests have been at their weakest. FC Astana have stumbled in both of their trips across Europe so far. The last of which, in particular, saw them at the losing end of a thumping 6-0 scorecard at the hands of AZ Alkmaar.

It is also worth mentioning that their foes for the week are part of a far more superior domestic campaign, and it was certainly evident in their maiden matchup back in October.

Given the home advantage at hand, Partizan Belgrade should be able to ease past the dismal FC Astana this week.

Furthermore, the visitors have not had their scoring boots on in their outings. They have not found the back of the net in any of their trips on the road in Group L. And, have also conceded seven goals in the process. as well

Meanwhile, Partizan Belgrade have also scored just three goals in their respective matchups at home. With nothing but pride left to fight for, count on a low scoring affair, by all means, come Thursday.
