A four-point lead at the top of Group H has already confirmed Espanyol's berth in the next round. With home advantage also in their arsenal this Thursday, count on the hosts to make light work of the dismal CSKA Moscow, who have hit rock bottom on the table.

Their only previous meeting was the reverse fixture of this matchup, which Espanyol won 2-0.

Espanyol vs CSKA Moscow Prediction

Espanyol extended their unbeaten run in their Europa campaign by holding Ferencvaros to a 2-2 draw on the road in their last clash. The hosts were certainly made to huff and puff in that latter matchup though and were in line for a 2-1 defeat after their counterparts found the back of the net a minute into stoppage time.

However, the home side had no intention of making the trip back home empty-handed and bagged a late equalizer through Sergi Darder.

With eleven points to their name, the Spanish outfit are sporting a mammoth nine-point cushion over foes CSKA Moscow.

The visiting contingent are without a doubt the weakest of the lot in Group H. Their previous fixture at home, saw them salvage no more than a point against Ludogorets in a 1-1 draw. While on the road, they played out a far from exciting stalemate against Ferencvcaros.

It is also worth mentioning that the Russian side are the only team left in the cluster to have a taste of success. To pile on even more misery, CSKA Moscow have scored just one goal on the road in the Europa League so far.

In sharp contrast, Espanyol racked up six goals to their tally from their last home clash with Ludogorets alone.

Furthermore, CSKA Moscow are part of a far less competitive domestic campaign. Taking into account that their previous clash with this foe also saw them at the losing end of a 2-0 scorecard, it goes without saying that Espanyol are the front runners to pick up the win in this one.

Additionally, as previously mentioned, the hosts were ruthless in their last European clash here. Also seven of the twelve goals for the home side in Group H have come at RCDE Stadium.

Meanwhile, CSKA have conceded five goals from their past two trips across Europe. As such, count on Espanyol to bring the curtains down in style, with over 2.5 goals on the final scorecards.
