Both teams are in good form ahead of this Champions League game and our tipster is backing the Bundesliga outfit to get among the goals on Wednesday

Inter are looking to pick up their first Champions League win in over 12 months when they host Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.

The Italian side have taken just one point from their two fixtures this season and failed to win any of their final four group games in last term’s competition.

Dortmund topped Group A last season on their way to the last 16 of the tournament and are currently first in Group F this time around, having earned four points from their opening two fixtures.

Inter vs Borussia Dortmund Latest Odds

bet365 make Inter 5/4 (2.25) favourites to win for the sixth time in their last eight matches at San Siro.

Dortmund have won just three of the 16 competitive matches they have played in Italy and are 21/10 (3.10) to improve that record to four wins, whilst the draw is a 5/2 (3.50) shot.

Inter vs Borussia Dortmund Team News

Alexis Sanchez has been ruled until the new year for Inter, whilst Stefano Sensi faces a late fitness test.

Lucien Favre will have to do without Paco Alcacer for another week as the striker recovers from an achilles tendon problem. Goalkeeper Roman Burki is a doubt after going off in Dortmund’s weekend win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Inter vs Borussia Dortmund Preview

Inter will be dreaming of silverware after winning seven of their first eight Serie A games this season, although they are yet to claim victory in the Champions League following a 1-1 draw at home to Slavia Prague before a 2-1 loss at Barcelona.

Whilst they are having few problems finding the net this season, having done so 21 times in all competitions, their defence has conceded eight times in their last four outings.

Dortmund should have few problems exploiting their hosts’ meagre backline considering they have scored 20 Bundesliga goals this term and have netted at least once in 15 of their last 18 fixtures in all competitions.

Inter vs Borussia Dortmund Tips and Prediction

With that in mind, the 6/4 (2.50) price on Favre’s side to score over 1.5 goals on Wednesday offers significant value for punters.
